RMCMA has organised a Webinar on 17.04.2026 (Friday) from 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm on very important topic “Smart Curing System with QUICKCON SRT-G”. The Webinar will be taken by Dr. K. G. Guptha.
The Topic:
QuickCon SRT-G is a next-generation concrete admixture system developed on a smart hydration mechanism that operates through a structured six-stage action process. This advanced system significantly improves cement hydration efficiency, leading to rapid early strength development, higher ultimate compressive strength, and enhanced ductility characteristics (exhibiting partial ductile behavior compared to conventional concrete). Additionally, it ensures a substantial reduction in micro-cracking and improved long-term durability. A key advantage of the system is its ability to enable complete elimination of external water curing, thereby promoting efficient curing while supporting conservation of natural water resources.
The Faculty:
Dr. K. G. Guptha is a senior academician, researcher, and practicing Civil Engineer with over four decades of experience in teaching, research, institutional leadership, and professional consultancy. He graduated in Civil Engineering from Gulbarga University in 1984 with 5th Rank and completed his Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering in 1987 with 2nd Rank. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Environmental Geotechnology from IIT Bombay in 2005.
Dr. Guptha served at the Goa College of Engineering for 36 years, including 18 years as Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. He has published over 50 papers in reputed journals and conferences and authored two books on Environmental Engineering and Concrete Technology in 2021.
He has served as Dean at Goa University and as Chairman and Member of Boards of Studies of several universities. At the national level, he contributed to AICTE and NBA as a member of affiliation committees, accreditation teams, and jury panels.
